    Unless inconsistent with the context, the words and expressions in this Privacy Statement have the meanings assigned to them in the Glossary of Terms applicable to all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines adopted and published by Motus.

4.2 Personal Information means information relating to a living person (including juristic) and includes, but not limited to race, gender, sex, marital status, financial, criminal and contact information, and excludes anonymous, de-identified, non-personal statistical, and public information;
4.3 Processing means the collection, receipt, recording, storing, distributing, updating, modifying, deleting, destroying or using of personal information;
4.4 We, us, our refers to Motus; and
4.5 You means the reader of this policy.

  1. Motus Data Protection Policy Statements
    Motus:

5.1 is accountable for and processes personal data in compliance with the conditions and principles governing its lawful processing.
5.2 collects personal data for specific, explicitly defined and lawful purposes and does not further process personal data in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes.
5.3 only processes personal data that is adequate, relevant and not excessive for the purpose of the processing.
5.4 processes personal data transparently to the data subject and in a manner that is fair and does not infringe the privacy of the data subject.
5.5 does not process personal data unless it is lawfully justified to do so and where it relies on the justification of consent, such consent is freely given, specific, informed and is an unambiguous indication of the data subject’s wishes, indicated by a clear affirmative action.
5.6 collects personal data directly from the data subject unless it is permitted by law to collect the information from other sources.
5.7 takes appropriate measures to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of personal data and to prevent its loss or damage, unlawful access and unauthorised destruction.

5.15 will not use personal data for the purpose of unsolicited electronic communication, nor for automatic decision-making, without the consent of the data subject.
5.16 only transfers personal data across borders to jurisdictions that effectively uphold the principles and conditions governing the protection of personal data established in the Republic of South Africa, alternatively if the data subject has consented to the transfer.
5.17 appoints an Information Officer/s authorised and empowered to fulfil the responsibilities stipulated in relevant legislation.

We may change the Data Protection Policy adopted by Motus. If we change the policy and it materially affect your use of the website or your understanding of how we process your personal data, a notice will be published on our website indicating that a change has been made.

  1. Security measures
    The security, accuracy and integrity of the data on the Motus Select website ("Website Data") is of material importance to Motus Group. Motus Group accordingly reserves the right to conduct whatever verification of your identity and details it deems appropriate prior to Registration Confirmation, and to use whatever technological and other measures it deems necessary to detect and prevent unauthorised access or attempts to gain unauthorised access to the Website Data or to restricted pages of the Motus Select website. You hereby agree to allow Motus Group to take all reasonable steps to ensure the integrity and security of the Website Data and related back-office applications and agree to comply at your cost with all reasonable security measures which Motus Group may notify you with from time to time regarding access to the Website Data.

Any person who delivers or attempts to deliver any damaging code to the Motus Select website or attempts to gain unauthorised access to any page on this site or to any Website Data shall be prosecuted and civil damages shall be claimed in the event that Motus Group or any of its customers suffers any damage or loss.

  1. Google Analytics, Display Advertising and Remarketing
    9.1 The Google Analytics features implemented on the Motus Select website is based on Display Advertising (e.g., Remarketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager integration, or Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting).
    9.2 Visitors can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Ads Settings.
    9.3 Motus Group will not facilitate the merging of personally-identifiable information with non-personally identifiable information previously collected from Display Advertising features that is based on the DoubleClick cookie unless robust notice of, and the user's prior affirmative (i.e. opt-in) consent to, that merger is given.
    9.4 Motus Group also uses Remarketing with Google Analytics to advertise online. This means that third-party vendors, including Google, show your ads on sites across the Internet.
    9.5 Motus Group and third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on someone's past visits to your website.
    9.6 Remarketing is used to exclusively market Motus Group products to prospective clients that have either showed a declared interest in Motus Group’s service offering or may have interests related to the services.
    9.7 Our ads will appear to targeted users when visiting participating display sites available to us with third party vendors such as Google.
    9.8 Cookies are used to identify an IP address and remarket relevant advertising material to interested parties.
    9.9 Opting out of this program with Google is possible at the Ads Preferences Manager
